I’m working on a much longer post about anxiety this week … as a teaser, I’ll say that I’ve been using a new food tracking app (which is AWESOME – way better than the one I’ve been using that I already thought was awesome), and because of some various things it got me thinking about, I’ve noticed that on days that I ate a lot of really fatty foods (trans fats and saturated fats without other good nutrients to balance them), I’d get slammed by super awful, horrendous, anxiety attacks around bedtime. So I put on my research hat, and hence the new post.
BUT. I don’t want to give any more away too soon. I’ll let you read it in its polished, pretty form. In the meantime, here are two videos for your viewing pleasure, to sort of set the stage for the whole anxiety discussion. Both are from ZeFrank‘s A Show. The first talks about “the everything thing,” and is the best description of what happens in my head during an anxiety attack that I’ve ever heard from another human being. And the second talks about how he deals with the everything thing, and makes me laugh. Which, in the face of anxiety, is a good thing! Whenever I get anxious, I think about the bullshit tour, and I laugh.
What more can a girl ask for?
